Beau masque GOMA
Beau grand masque polychrome qui n'est pas sans rappeler les masques d'initiation du Butende des Bembe. Ainsi, les yeux sont au centre d'orbites immenses blanchis au kaolin, les décorations en formes de frises de triangles sont aussi présents. Pour un masque similaire, voir Marc Leo Felix, 1987
Les Goma sont peux nombreux, leur population était estimée à 5.000 personnes en 1987, ils vivent dans l'est du Congo, un peu au Sud des Bembe dont ils sont culturellement très proches, le long du lac Tanganyka

BEAUTIFUL & RARE GOMA MASK
Beautiful large polychrome mask which is reminiscent of the Butende initiation masks of the Bembe . Thus, the eyes are in the center of immense orbits whitened with kaolin, the decorations in the form of friezes of triangles are also present. For a similar mask, see Marc Leo Felix, 1987
The Goma are few in number, their population was estimated at 5,000 people in 1987, they live in eastern Congo, a little south of the Bembe, to whom they are culturally very close, along Lake Tanganyika,
