The Songola people live in eastern Congo
They are neighbors of the Lega, from whom they borrowed the Bwami system (in the east), of the Kumu, from whom they borrowed the initiation rituals for young people (in the north), of the Lengola (in the northwest) and of the Metoko (to the west).
