The Tabwa are a people living in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo and in Zambia, on Lake Tanganyika. They are strongly culturally influenced by their Luba and Hemba neighbors.
They are artistically known for their ancestor statues, fertility dolls, anthropomorphic helm masks, buffalo masks, high-backed seats, axes, scepters and headrests.
