Masque expressif et puissant 

Ce masque est très proche de celui qui est illustré dans Ubangi, pages 62 et 63
Présenté comme un des masques les plus saisissants du Nord Congo, attribué selon les sources aux Ngbaka, aux Ngbandi ou aux Mbanza
La légende (page 218) du croquis qui en est fait page 219 situe son origine au nord de la rivière Mongala (la question de son origine reste ouverte)

Les Ngbaka ou Bwaka vivent dans le nord du Congo, dans l'Ubangi (ou Ubangi)
Ils sont les voisins des Ngbandi, des Ngombe et des Ngata

Expressive and powerful mask

This mask is very close to the one illustrated in Ubangi, pages 62 and 63
Presented as one of the most striking masks of Northern Congo, attributed according to sources to the Ngbaka, Ngbandi or Mbanza
The legend (page 218) of the sketch made on page 219 places its origin north of the Mongala River (the question of its origin remains open)


The Ngbaka or Bwaka live in the north of the Congo, in the Ubangi area (or Ubangi)
They are the neighbors of the Ngbandi, the Ngombe and the Ngata

Characteristics :
